Giambattista Bufalino, dottore di ricerca (PhD) in Educational Research and Development (University of Lincoln, UK), è assegnista di ricerca in pedagogia presso l’Università degli Studi di Catania. Dopo aver condotto attività di ricerca presso diversi atenei europei, svolge ora studi sui
temi emergenti della pedagogia interculturale e dell’inclusione e sui rapporti tra Scuola e Università nell’ambito della formazione degli insegnanti e delle professionalità educative.
Giambattista Bufalino is currently working as a Research Fellow in Education at the University of Catania (Italy). He received his MA degree in Psychology in Italy and his Ph.D. in Educational Research and Development from the University of Lincoln (UK) with a thesis on Distributed Leadership models in Maltese schools. In recent years, he has worked as a Research fellow at the University of Aarhus (Denmark), Tallinn University (Estonia), Comenius University (Slovakia), and the University of Latvia (Latvia). He has worked on a number of international research projects (Erasmus Plus, Horizon) in the fields of teacher education and intercultural education. He has published in the areas of professional development and leadership in various peer-reviewed journals and he is also involved in international education associations and serves on a number of editorial boards. Prior to his academic career, he held senior management positions in the IT and non-profit sectors in Italy and Malta.
