Giambattista BUFALINO

Assistant Professor of THEORIES AND SCIENCE OF EDUCATION AND SOCIAL EDUCATION [M-PED/01]

Giambattista Bufalino is a Researcher in General and Social Pedagogy at the University of Catania's Department of Educational Sciences. He received his doctorate (PhD) in Educational Research and Development from the University of Lincoln (UK), as well as the National Scientific Qualification for second-level university teaching (Associate Level). He works at the Institute for Education (Malta) as a Dissertation Supervisor and External Examiner, and he is a member of numerous national and international research projects and groups.

After holding research positions at several European universities (Denmark, Malta, the United Kingdom, the Slovak Republic, and Estonia), he now focuses his research on several research areas: theoretical models of educational leadership in the context of school-university relations, teacher training, intercultural education; sustainability and green education. In 2020, he was awarded the Italian Prize for Pedagogy (SIPED) for the book Pedagogy and Educational Leadership (Rome, Armando).
