Anna Maria LEONORA

Assistant Professor of GENERAL SOCIOLOGY [SPS/07]

Anna Maria Leonora is Researcher in Sociology at University of Catania, Department of Education. She received her PhD in Sociology and Methods of Social Research from the University of Catania. Since 2002 she worked as research associate at the Faculty of Education, University of Catania. Between 2008 and 2014 she served as lecturer of Sociology of deviance coordinating a specific focus laboratory on security issues in postmodern societies. Moreover, she was senior researcher of SMILEY Project Sociological research group (smileyschool.eu). Her main role in this project was the elaboration of the theoretical framework of the research activity.

She published several articles concerning the link between socialization and educational practices in postmodern society; mixed research methods. She was permanent member between 2008 and 2013 of the international research group “SocialOne” following an international comparative research program about “Agapic action and alternative economy” (social-one.org; edc-online.org).
