Expected Learning Outcomes

Students should be able to

- apply autonomously educational methodologies and strategies by designing and planning educational activities; apply learned knowledge and skills to different types of contexts and services; compare limits and potentialities of own personal reflection.

- practice reflexivity, using their personal experience to critique what passes as accepted knowledge in an early childhood context in order to develop a culturally oriented, critical, flexible and dynamic perspective on the professional profile of educator as well as on the educational practises of childhood professionals.

Course Structure

The class group should not exceed the number of 50 students.

The activities will be introduced by a brief description of the materials, sources, and documentation of the main contents of the course. The training activities will be carried out both individually and in small groups. Educators and early childhood professionals will be involved.

Required Prerequisites

In order to be able to draw on essential knowledge, for understanding the dimensions and variables implicit in the training processes and to have adequate theoretical-methodological references, the study of the contents of the General and Childhood Pedagogy course is strongly recommended.

Attendance of Lessons

Attendance is mandatory.

Planning and organizing space and materials in an early childhood context following the perspective of active teaching.

Space as a pedagogical device.

Children's Rights and educational settings for children in the open air. Experience of inclusive education.
