Module LABORATORIO DI METODI E TECNICHE DELLA RICERCA NEI CONTESTI EDUCATIVI E FORMATIVI

Academic Year 2023/2024 - Teacher: GIUSEPPE CARMELO PILLERA

Expected Learning Outcomes

The workshop will focus on the application of the knowledge and methodologies outlined in the course, through an activity conducted in small groups and aimed at the design of empirical research in educational and training contexts.

Course Structure

The workshop will focus on a group work activity for the construction of a hypothetical empirical research design in an educational-training context. Students will be engaged in the production of the design paper, peer review of the papers and a final presentation of the product.

Required Prerequisites

The attendance of the Module Metodologia della ricerca educativa and/or at least the reading of the recommended texts are required. Furthermore, basic knowledge of MsWord and good online bibliographic research skills are required.

Attendance of Lessons

Attendance at the laboratory is mandatory.

Detailed Course Content

Students will be guided through the various stages of devising and constructing a research project: defining the topic and constructing the state of the art, formulation of research questions and hypotheses, identification of the research design and the most suitable survey instruments, drafting of a group paper that also includes a description of the procedural aspects, a feasibility evaluation and a selection of bibliographical references. A peer evaluation of the papers will be an integral part of the workshop.
