Expected Learning Outcomes

The workshop aims to provide students with knowledge and foster the development of basic skills regarding methodologies and educational strategies for designing contexts, environments and spaces for recreational and animative activities.

In particular, at the end of the workshop, students should be able to:

  • select methods, techniques and materials for the design of outdoor play activities for preschool children;
  • select techniques and materials for designing environments and spaces for play activities outside the classroom setting;
  • configure evaluation paths for educational play activities in different contexts.

Course Structure

The educational workshop activities will be carried out cooperatively through study, analysis and selection of outdoor playful educational activities and subsequent implementation of simulated design pathways of outdoor playful workshop activities for girls and boys in the nursery and kindergarten sections

Learning Assessment Procedures

The exam will involve the evaluation of the presentation and discussion of outdoor play activities designed cooperatively during laboratory classes.

The criteria that will be used to evaluate the design refer to the completeness and consistency of the planned activities and evaluative actions, to which are added the evaluation criteria for the presentation referring to communicative effectiveness and relevant use of specialized language.
