STORIA DELLA FILOSOFIA
Academic Year 2023/2024 - Teacher: SALVATORE VASTAExpected Learning Outcomes
The course aims to enable students to acquire:
1. The categories and models of investigation in use in the discipline, through the knowledge of the most relevant issues dealt with in modern philosophy;
2. The strengthening of personal critical capacities, through the historical-problematic contextualisation of the doctrines of the philosophers under study;
3. The strengthening of logical, argumentative and judgmental skills using philosophical concepts and a relevant use of philosophical vocabulary.
Course Structure
Teaching is divided into two different parts: lectures (approx. 70 % of the classroom hours), in which the course topics are covered, and a second part (approx. 30 %) devoted to classroom work, consisting of group work with exercises on the philosophical text. Foreign students are invited to reschedule directly with the professor.

Learning Assessment
Learning Assessment Procedures
The final examination consists of an interview. During the course, written tests of learning are scheduled via the Teams platform. The final grade is formulated on the basis of the following indicators: Knowledge of the topics; Systematic treatment of the contents; Ability to re-elaborate the knowledge; Adequacy of exposition (possession of philosophical terminology); Level of analysis demonstrated in relation to the topics covered by the examination programme; Ability to critically examine in depth.
