Course Structure

Frontal instruction.
Carrying out the work through an interdependent methodology, cross-cuttingly embracing numerous issues related to the teaching approach in the early childhood school. Group work in cooperative learning is accompanied by the teacher at all stages and the clarifications and theoretical contributions are shared during the lesson, especially in the closure, through a path of sharing participation. 

Required Prerequisites

Knowledge of developmental stages as well as educational goals during early childhood.

Attendance of Lessons

Mandatory.

Detailed Course Content

The workshop aims to provide basic skills for the design of play and/or recreational activities
At the end of the Course students will be able to carry out strategies and activities that promote play and animation in educational contexts, with particular reference to childhood.
The formative, educational and relational functions that foster the development of cognitive and social areas, stimulating creative and motor skills in the group will be examined.
The workshop will be aimed at analysing the play experience in pre-school age from a practical point of view. The aim will be to explore the educational potential hidden in play, as well as to exercise critical thinking on the formative and transformative value of play.
A number of evaluation techniques will be discussed and the group will be encouraged to deal independently with further insights in the field of play and animation methodologies and techniques.
The classes include and promote interdependent interventions, through which real experiences and motivating examples are identified.
