Learning Objectives

The course is aimed at consolidating Spanish language skills, with particular reference to phonological, morphological, lexical aspects at B1 level of the CEFR, text comprehension and speaking skills about specific topics related to the course.


Course Structure

The teaching methods will be mainly frontal lectures for metalinguistic analysis and systematic theoretical learning, and interactive lessons to encourage students' active participation.

Attendance at lessons is recommended, although not compulsory.


Detailed Course Content

The first part of the course will be dedicated to the introduction of the phonological, grammatical and morphological elements of the Spanish language for B1 level of CEFR. Next we will analyse texts of progressive complexity and work on textual comprehension and on the ability to discuss issues related to the specificity of the course. The second half of the course will focus on La lengua de las mariposas, in order to focus on the following themes: El valor de la educación, El conocimiento de la naturaleza, El manto de la historia.

Students should be able to: understand messages, interact and express opinions, recognise grammatical and syntactical structures, expose present, past and future events, read, analyse and comment on texts, and globally reuse the information found in the texts.
