CLASSICAL ARCHAEOLOGY WITH ARCHAEOLOGICAL PROMOTION LABORATORY

At the end of the course, students will have become familiar with the topics related to the development of Greek and Roman civilizations; they will be able to recognize and describe major monuments, works of art, and archaeological finds; they will know how to project the skills acquired in terms of dating and stylistic analysis into the local context. The laboratory activities (3 ECTS) will allow them to understand the basics of communication, enhancement, and promotion techniques for archaeological assets through the use of multimedia tools.
**Knowledge and Comprehension:**
By the end of the course, students will have acquired adequate knowledge of Greek and Roman civilizations and their material and immaterial testimonies, also for the purposes of communication and promotion of territorial heritage.
**Application of Knowledge and Comprehension:**
They will be able to apply the theoretical and methodological knowledge gained to evaluate the testimonies of the past.
**Judgment Autonomy:**
- Critically assess and qualify the information acquired.
- Formulate flexible judgments and decisions even under conditions of uncertainty and limited information.

- Disseminate decisions taken orally or in writing, using multimedia tools, clarifying the relationships between objectives, constraints, and stakeholders involved in implementation, while interacting professionally with related or diverse professionals.
- Promote local resources and identities in the national context.

They will have developed learning skills that enable them to continue their studies.
Course Structure
Lectures and workshop activities. Students will be invited to take part in one or two educational visits.

Rudiments of knowledge of the Greek and Roman civilizations.
Good display ability.
Basics of web applications.

From the origins of Greek civilization to the fall of the Roman Empire through the study of material culture.

Learning Assessment
Learning Assessment Procedures
The exam is oral.
The exam consists of 4 questions on the main works of the Greek and Roman world. During the test, the student may be presented with an image relating to a sculpture or a monument.
