Detailed Course Content

I) The legal system. Sources of Italian, European and International law.
II) Tourism in the Constitution. Division of legislative and administrative competences regarding tourism.
III) The Code of Tourism and the rulings of the Constitutional Court.
IV) Tourism careers.
V) Tourism enterprises.
VI) The main tourism contracts.
VII) Tourism and responsibility. Protection of the rights of the tourist.

The course aims to provide students with the coordinates to navigate the vast panorama of tourism legislation.
Starting with an introduction on the basic aspects of Italian law (which is necessary for those who have never dealt with the study of legal matters), it will be shown the system of sources concerning the tourism sector, especially in the light of the recent decisions of the Constitutional Court and of legislation at the European and international level.
In particular, tourism professions and enterprises will be illustrated, as well as major contracts related to tourism, concluding with the protection of tourists' rights.
