Expected Learning Outcomes

Acquisition of basic knowledge and skills related to the “discovery” of the environment, the general principles governing European environmental policy and, in particular, the principle of sustainability. Knowledge of the basic rules concerning climate change, waste management, water protection, and protected natural areas. Ability to analyse local environmental issues, with particular reference to the energy transition, the impact of industrial activities, and wastewater treatment plants. Ability to critically assess policy choices and decisions made by local authorities.
