Learning Objectives

The course focuses on learning and memory processes, and their prerequisites. Moreover, it focuses on academic learning, school readiness, basic academic skills (reading, writing, calculation), the role of socio-emotional variables, learning in children with intellectual disability and ADHD, Specific Learning Disorder and BES (special educational needs)


Course Structure

Lectures, and laboratory activities

Should teaching be carried out in mixed mode or remotely, it may be necessary to introduce changes with respect to previous statements, in line with the program planned and outlined in the syllabus.

Learning assessment may also be carried out online, should the conditions require it.

Learning and memory processes. Attention skill. Reading, writing, and calculation. From learning to knowledge, Specific learning disorders. School readiness. Learning difficulties. Cognitive styles and learning styles. The role of the socio-emotional variables on academic learning. Scholastic learning in children affected by intellectual disability, autism and attention disorders, BES.
