Learning Objectives

The aim of this program is to examine the positive effect of the psychiatric rehabilitation. The psychiatric rehabilitation is a method direct to improve cognitive symptom, working memory, executive functions and psychosocial functioning of the patients with mental disorders.

The mental disorders cause unfavourable effects on social function and a high risk of chronicity. The course aims to introduce the theoretical aspects of rehabilitation in the field of psychological discomfort, techniques and tools that enable each operator of mental health to use them in their own reality, not omitting the relational dimension.


Detailed Course Content

The program include the occupational therapy, even in aspects of the cooperation and social enterprise, the Art therapy, Music therapy, recently introduced as a form of additional treatment, the fairy tales, the Pet Therapy and the Theatre therapy. Important aspects concerning the quality of life, psychosocial functioning of the patient and the role of the family in the rehabilitation program
