Expected Learning Outcomes

The aim of the course is to delve into the logic of personal development within the organizational scene, with particular reference to the constraints and resources to enhance organizational well-being and reduce individual discomfort. The expected results aim to verify the ability to frame the dimensions of organizational distress; the identification of tools for detecting organizational well-being, investigating the antecedents, individual mediating factors, and consequences of both well-being and discomfort; the ability to identify methods of intervention on these dimensions.

In-depth knowledge of the main analysis dimensions of organizational psychology and social psychology is required.

Detailed Course Content

The course will focus on a historical-critical journey of the concepts of "organization" and "management", with particular reference to organizational change and innovation processes and the perverse effects that these processes can generate. Attention will therefore be paid to the analysis of the tools aimed at guaranteeing the psycho-social safety of the worker within complex organizations. Particular attention will therefore be dedicated to the prevention of psycho-social risks and stress-related pathologies, with particular reference to potential sources of discomfort and the role of personal resources in risk reduction processes.

The exam is conducted in oral form. The final evaluation can benefit from the outcome of individual or group exercises, planned by the teacher whose participation is not obligatory but strongly recommended.
