Expected Learning Outcomes

Through laboratory activities, students will have to:

- Develop autonomy in applying educational methodologies and strategies through the creation and design of activities related to intercultural educational practices;

- Know how to relate knowledge and skills possessed to different types of sources and materials of historical and cultural memory:

- Know how to compare in a group the limits and potential of their personal elaborations.

- Exercise forms of professional reflexivity in educational-didactic contexts for peaceful coexistence in order to develop a culturally evolved and critical, flexible and dynamic vision of the professional profile.

Course Structure

Mandatory in-person research, re-elaboration and planning/programming activities

Required Prerequisites

To gain essential knowledge for understanding early childhood education practices and to have adequate theoretical and methodological references, studying the contents of the General Pedagogy and Intercultural Pedagogy courses is essential.

Attendance of Lessons

Attendance is mandatory. It will not be possible to access the exam session of the teaching, if the laboratory with profit evaluation is not first achieved.

Detailed Course Content

The laboratory activities, introduced by a brief description of possible materials, historical sources, and documentation sites, will be conducted both individually and in groups.

Textbook Information

Materials selected by the teacher will be provided and integrated with the research activities of the working groups.

Learning Assessment

Learning Assessment Procedures

Students will present and submit the work completed during the practical activities, along with a final product that will be evaluated. The workshop is mandatory and preparatory to the Intercultural Pedagogy exam. The workshop is mandatory and will be graded out of 30 and will contribute to the final grade based on a weighted average (one credit). The final grade for the integrated course is a single grade and is recorded by the instructor at the same time as the exam registration.
