Learning Assessment

Learning Assessment Procedures

The final exam is oral. Individual learning will be assessed throughout the course through questionnaires. Self-assessment tests are available on the TEAMS University platform only for those enrolled in the course. They are designed to progressively test the learning objectives outlined in the curriculum and do not influence the final grade in any way, which will take into account only the oral exam. The final grade is based on the following indicators: Systematic approach to content; Adequacy of expression regarding content (mastery of philosophical terminology); Ability to rework knowledge; Ability to organize knowledge according to specific objectives; Demonstrated level of analytical ability in relation to the topics covered in the exam; Ability to engage in critical analysis.

Examples of frequently asked questions and / or exercises

Please note that the questions in the midterm self-assessment tests and the final oral exam differ, depending on the cognitive input provided to the student, which requires them to demonstrate: 1) content knowledge (first level - 34% of the final grade); 2) analytical skills (second level - 33% of the final grade); 3) aptitude for problematization and critical comparison (third level - 33% of the final grade). Therefore, all questions relating to the historical contextualization of philosophers; understanding the correct meaning of the terms and basic concepts relating to their philosophies; correctly attributing their major works to philosophers and having a basic understanding of the content they refer to; and comparing perspectives and ideas are considered essential for passing the exam.
(Example questions for the general section: Apollonian and Dionysian in Nietzsche; Hegel: publication dates and titles of his most important works; Comparison of the category of Being in Jaspers and Heidegger; Specific characteristics of the genesis of Capital; Critical analysis of the different positions within the Vienna Circle.)
