To know the history of Europe connected with the world events between XVI and XIX centuries. To understand the following concepts: structure, conjuncture, longue durée, crisis, revolt, revolution, stays and breaks. To link institutional and political events to the demographic and economic trends, to the changes in social structures and to the analysis of the contemporary economic processes.
