Is it possible to plan an Erasmus international exchange model when the physical mobility is restricted? Starting from the comparison among some educational systems and from the distance learning best practices of some Italian and foreign universities in the socio-humanistic area, the research aims at developing a new educational scheme entitled “Smart Student Mobility (SSM)” that responds to students' needs through the use of effective innovative instruments and is accessible to everyone from the linguistic point of view. The scheme will propose a combined approach of distance and in-presence learning and will propose new contents and instruments useful for the support of the learning process in its transitional dimension.
