Assistant Professor of WORK AND ORGANIZATIONAL PSYCHOLOGY [M-PSI/06]

Silvia Platania is currently Researcher of Work and Organisational Psychology at the Department of Education Sciences-University of Catania.

In particular:

- The report that the company undertakes both with external customers (marketing strategies and determinants of choice of the consumer goods) with both internal customers (organizational well-being and enhancement of the human factor, climate, security and psycho-social risks, career development).

- The consumer behavior: the causal relationship between antecedent factors that determine the choice of consumption (antecedents subjective);  behavioral factors that manifest consumer choice (buying behavior and post-purchase).

The most recent search attentions are turning to the distinction between buying behavior planned inherent self-regulation of behavior and buying behavior not planned, it shall provide impulsive actions until it flows into the pathological dimension of purchase (Compulsive Buying Syndrome).
